Rhythm Seed Farm is a safe haven for the humans and wildlife of NE Portland. Through community outreach, workshops, and education, RSF works to strengthen neighborhood resiliency and solidarity. The diverse and thoughtful seed selections growing at Rhythm Seed are both culturally significant to the area and beautiful to look at, acting as a sacred space for many. Nick cares deeply about the community and the special ecosystem he created at Rhythm Seed Farm and it doesn’t go unnoticed.

Rhythm Seed Farm is a wonderful organization with a strong focus on community, restorative farming, and seed saving. Through every season there is always lots to be done. Planting, weeding, picking, seed harvesting, weeding, sorting, seed packing, and weeding. You can also support the farm through the membership program or a one-time donation. While spending time on the farm for the last three years, I've been constantly blown away by the power of plants and community building. Nick, the founder, has an abundance of plant knowledge ready to share with anyone willing to learn and is always working alongside everyone. If you haven’t been to the farm yet, I highly recommend checking them out. You will be amazed with how much magic can happen on a half acre of land! Good people, doing good work, while playing good beats.

Rhythm Seed Farm has been a beacon of community, connection, and education for me. Last year I was a farm intern with Nick and it was an awesome experience! I’ve learned so much and love being a part of the growing community. I would highly recommend visiting/ reaching out to the farm yourself to witness/experience the beauty and magic of what Nick and volunteers are cultivating.

Rhythm Seed Farm is an absolutely gorgeous garden, it has been such a gift to help out and feel some peace in the city while being in service. There are so many varieties of plants to learn about and the caretaker of the farm is beautifully knowledgeable, and there is so much to be cleaned from the experience there. It has been such a treat to experience such a variety of people from different walks of life and come together and enjoy the richness of the space while getting your hands in the soil. It has been such a healing and growing experience to be in a garden where everyone feels so welcomed.
